DEPT

During my time at Dept, I created a motion video celebrating Black interns and their experiences, creativity, and impact. The goal was to make the piece feel energetic, fun, and culturally resonant while staying true to Dept’s clean aesthetic.

I led the full production process, from storyboarding and shooting dynamic B-roll to editing, music selection, and motion design. Visually, I developed a bold and vibrant design system using playful typography, bright colours, and expressive motion graphics.

I also introduced a phone-inspired layout to give the video a modern, social-first feel, alongside animated emojis that added personality and energy to key moments.

The final piece blended polished design with youthful, playful energy to create an engaging celebration of the Black intern experience at Dept.
